Malawi Declared as a State of National Disaster – Regarding the Corona Virus

Today 20th of March 2020 – Malawi has officially been declared as a State of National Disaster by President Peter Mutharika.

Restrictions have been put in place on all national gatherings not to exceed 100 people in light of the disease, which has already been recorded in in neighboring countries such a as Zambia, Tanzania and South Africa….

All schools will also be closed as from Monday the 23rd of March.

The president is set to address the nation soon on MBC TV.

NOW is the TIME for Prayer !!!

BUT:  NOW is the Time for Urgent Prayers and Intercession for Malawi as well as the Rest of Africa, as the number of cases being reported is slowly but surely increasing with a rapid rate throughout Africa as more and more people who have been travelling to the effected countries, are now returning home, and is starting to bring the virus into the different countries…and thus more and more people within the different countries are now also being impacted and effected as the virus is transferring from person to person.

Only God can intervene and stop this Virus, as all the human efforts are slowing it down a bit, but it isn’t stopping it…

God has given us, His Children, to stand up and take Authority…!!!

As at the 18th of March the World Health Organisation (WHO) recorded 622 cases throughout Africa, with Egypt & South Africa being the most affected thus far, and it is increasing daily by larger and larger percentages…!!!

We have an Obligation and Responsibility towards our Fellow Citizens, to stay safe and to protect each other !!!

THUS:  We as Africans and Christians, need to take this epidemic serious – as each one of us has the obligation towards each other to stay safe – and to to protect the health of our fellow citizens across the continent…!!!

If you sense any changes in your health – please get tested asap – and do the self-quarantine as quick as possible…!!!

Don’t make it off as nothing, or think that it will “blow over”…!!!

This is different than the normal flue – and it could destroy many lives and it will impact the Global Economy very negatively… We haven’t seen the full impact of this virus as yet. It is still early days. But we will feel it in the near future, as there will be more and more job losses and poverty, and many families will even loose loved ones…

BUT: if we take responsibility now – we can prevent a number of issues and repercussions later…

THUS: Let us all be responsible citizens, and look out for each other’s health. As many people throughout Africa will not have the strength in their immunity systems to fight off this virus, and we need to take responsibility on their behalf…

The Apostle Paul writes in Philippians 2, that we must all esteem each other higher than ourselves – and that the same mind that was in Christ – who took on the the form of a servent, and humbled Himself, even though He was God Himself.

Php 2:3  Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 

Php 2:5  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 
Php 2:6  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 
Php 2:7  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 
Php 2:8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 

Thus, let’s look out for each other – and care and support each other in the midst of this crises, and let’s stand together and pray earnestly for this virus to come to an end…

For it is only by Faith and taking up our Authority in Jesus that we can stop this Virus from Spreading… !!!!
