Locusts in East Africa——–a wake up call for every nation, Especially in Africa

As some of you probably have heard already there has been a Serious Locust Outbreak reported this week-end (18th of January) in various parts of East Africa – Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea, and there are warnings that Uganda could also be impacted…

This is the worst it has been in the last 25 years the reports are saying…

NOW: Looking at all this, we can’t help but realize that this is an example straight from the Bible in 2nd Chron 7:13 – where God has warned Israel through King Solomon about making sure that they stay in God’s ways, and not to dwell away…otherwise things like this will hit them…

i.e.

In 2 Chron 7:12-14 God appeared to King Solomon in a dream just after he finished with the temple and his own palace, and after he prayed for God to fill the temple and to bless all the work and to be present amongst Israel forever… (see 2 Chron 6 for his prayer) and He said to King Solomon:

2Chron 7:12-14 KJV  
(12) And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, 
I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of 
sacrifice.   
(13) If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts  
to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;   
(14)If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray,  
and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;  
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Meaning these things aren’t just “another natural occurrence of nature”…There are more behind it than what meets the eye…!!

For instance, if we look at everything that is hitting Africa at present:

• Various countries in Eastern Africa has been hit by the worst Locusts plague in 25 years,
• Malawi is flooded with too much rain, destroying their crops, and leaving the whole country in a state of starvation
• People are seriously struggling with job-losses and starvation across the African nations (not just Malawi),
• Political uprisings, and threats of war all over the world
• Australia is being overwhelmed with Forest Fires
• People are facing Various sicknesses and diseases lately – not just HIV/AIDS anymore. There are numerous warnings of all kinds of viruses and fever breakouts again
• And even reports of serious volcano activity and earthquakes around the world

This is surely a sign of the nations dwelling away from God…and God is trying to get our attention to say “Come back to Me, and repent, and lay down your own ways, repent of them and turn back to Righteousness !!!”

UPDATE: WE have received word this week (12th of February) That the Locusts are still very much active in Uganda – Eating up everything before them, leaving nothing behind…!!!

Please continue to Pray for Africa – to Repent and to Turn back to God !!!

A Call for Africa and the Nations to Repent and Intercede

We at “National Repentance Malawi” ministries together with “National Day of Repentance” ministries in the USA, are joining hands together with various other ministries in Africa to make a serious effort to reach out to all of Africa, not just Malawi, to bring people back to God – through Repentance.. based on 2nd Chron 7:14

For Repentance isn’t just a One-Time prayer for a sinner, to be received by God…

NO – It goes so much deeper..!!!!

Salvation is only the start of a life of Repentance, starting with our first prayer of asking for God’s forgiveness for our sinful lives, and inviting Him into our hearts and life as well as making Him Lord over our lives…!!!

We as born again Christians also need to continually be lead by the Holy Spirit on a daily basis after that prayer, (ie after our Initial Salvation), to reveal to us all our wrong ways and belief-systems that we have built up over the years prior to our salvation, to help us to lay down every wrong thinking and every wrong fleshly behavior (like the ones listed in Gal 5:19-21)…!!!

And also, we can get entangled so quickly in Worldly views and traditions again afterwards too, and can loose our connection with God very quickly…

Mat 15:6 – Jesus said we make the Word of God of no effect through our traditions

And when people have drifted away like this from God’s ways, and His Righteousness for whatever reason – then nature starts “reminding” us of our paths, and start sending us messages like what is happening now all over the world…

‘Cause if you watched the video in the 2nd attachment – they are really struggling to keep the locusts under control – even by spraying poison…

But if it was just natural nature outbreak only – the poison would have worked quickly, and they would have had it all under control in no time…

But when God’s hand is behind things like the impact is currently, then we as humans will struggle to get relief…and get things under control.

The same with the fires in Australia – only when people started praying seriously and interceded for the situation, did the rain come – but not after how many people have lost their property, and over a million animals have burnt to death, and even a number of people lost their lives… !!!

Meaning situations like these will only stop and go away – when we seriously come back into prayer of intercession and repentance before God, and change our ways and come back to God and His will…!!!

Intercession and Repentance goes hand in hand…

Intercession is crying out to God and “Stepping in the Gap“on behalf of someone else, and praying as if you are that person praying and crying out to God.

And thus Intercession normally also go down the path of admitting and confessing the sins and the blinded eyes and deafened ears of the person(s) being prayed for, and asking God for their forgiveness… as they know not what they are doing…!!!  (like what Jesus prayed on the cross for the ones that crucified Him – Luk 23:34)
